Background:
As you have learned, the Supreme Court’s job is to decide the Constitutionality of various laws and cases brought to their attention. Often times, these cases involve deciding if a person’s rights under the Bill of Rights have been violated. The decisions made by the Supreme Court affect every American citizen of any age. There have been many cases brought to the Supreme Court that affect your rights as student.
In this project you and a partner will choose one of the Supreme Court Cases listed below to research and present to the class through a round table discussion. All of the Supreme Court cases relate to the Bill of Rights and many of the Supreme Court cases you can choose from involve student rights.
