Now that you have taken notes on your subject, use the cards to plan out your paper.

Organize Your Notes

1. Reread the note cards, looking for similar ideas.
   1. Color Code the cards by idea or mark them with a symbol or number to indicate similar ideas.
2. Group the cards according to these similar ideas.
3. Examine the groupings that you have established.
   1. For those groupings that seem to be lacking in supportive note cards, decide...
      1. Do you need that grouping
         1. If not, discard
         2. If yes, conduct more research to gain more information.
4. Once all groupings are together... An outline can be made.
