Welcome to College Writing! 

College writing is a class designed to prepare students for writing they may be required to do after graduation. Beginning with college essays, we will explore various types of writing as we explore what kind of writing will be appropriate for different audiences and purposes. Together, we will develop the ability to represent ourselves on paper in organized, interesting, and sophisticated ways. 

Now that we have explored many different types of writing, we will be using our skills to combine the skills needed in different genres of writing in order to accomplish tasks. This week we will ease our way into this by compiling entries for a writing contest. Writing pieces may be fictional stories, nonfiction, or even works of poetry. More information can be found at:
