United States History begins its study with the causes of The Civil War and culminates with the Civil Rights movement.  Students will broaden their understanding of how a nation founded on struggle, strife, and conflict has emerged ever closer to the goals of liberty and equality for all individuals.  Students will develop critical reading and writing skills throughout their study of U.S. History.  Furthermore, students will enhance their debating and research skills, as well as their understanding of American geography.
