How many books can I borrow from the library?

Up to two, with no books overdue!

How long can I borrow a book?

For 4 weeks!

Are there fines for overdue books?

No fines this year unless we send a letter home after the book is over due for 3 months! Then it costs a $1.00 for processing. Please just return your books on time!!

How do students locate books and materials in the LMC?

Students use our on-line card catalog called Destiny. Students can search by author, title, and keyword; and if they log-in as themselves they can see what books they have out, their reserves, and the history of what books they have checked out.

How do students access the LMC?

On a pass from their teachers, or with a class that is using the LMC for books or research purposes.

Is the LMC open after school?

Yes, on Wednesdays! Students have to sign up to stay after school before the end of the day.

Are there computers in the LMC for students to use for assignments?

Yes, we have 11 computers in the LMC for individual students use, and an attached lab available for teachers to bring their classes. We also have a cart of iPads for student and teacher use within the LMC.

Do students have access to the Internet?

Yes, as long as their parents have given them permission by signing the: District Internet Use Agreement form.

Does the LMC have a subscription to an on-line encyclopedia?

Yes we have a subscription to Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia, and the New Book of Knowledge on-line, as well as other databases like ScienceFlix, and FactCite.

What kind of software programs does the LMC have on its computers?

The LMC and the two computer labs have the following programs on their computers: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Publisher,and Excel.
