Just a reminder Picture Day is this Friday, October 10th. All students will be having their picture taken for our yearbook. If you would like to order pictures, please send in the order form with your student. Picture forms were already passed out during homeroom to the students. If you need a form, please have your child come to the office to pick one up.
UPDATE: The 8th Grade's field trip to Pesci Park has been rescheduled for Friday, October 3rd. The same logistics and procedures that we were planning on using for Thursday will apply for Friday. Please call or email with any questions.

Recently, Windsor Locks Middle School was recognized by the Connecticut Association of Public Schools Superintendents (CAPSS) as a leader in personalized learning in the state of Connecticut. Yesterday, a WLMS delegation-- including students, parents, teachers, and administrators-- presented at the CAPSS conference in Cromwell, CT. We talked about some of the educational shifts our school is currently engaged in to make our students' learning for personal, meaningful, and deep. The presentation was a great success, and the feedback from all of the state superintendents in attendance was very positive!
We couldn't be prouder of our Wildcat representatives who clearly showed a room FULL of really important educators what The Locks stands for, and what it is going to be in the very near future!

September is No Kid Hungry Month. No Kid Hungry is our districts opportunity to be a part of a movement that has a real and lasting impact on the mission to end hunger in America!
Students and staff please spread the word about hunger awareness and GO ORANGE on September 25th!
We will be showing our support by:
Wearing ORANGE and
holding a food drive
Please bring in one non-perishable food item and place in the collection box.
Boxes will be located in the 6th grade entrance and front entrance to our school.

Just a reminder Monday, September 29th is an early release. WLMS students will be dismissed at 12:15. No breakfast or lunch will be served on that day.
Thank you to all the parents and family members who joined us last night for our Parent Information Night. It was great to see all of the familiar faces, and meet some of our new family members.
