Sophia Oliver, a current senior, was selected as Windsor Locks High School's Rotary Student of the month for February. Having volunteered over 60 hours of her time to local services, Sophia has an active role in bother her school and greater community. Ranking in the top 20% of her class, she thrives academically and is currently enrolled in five Advanced Placement classes, adding to the four she successfully took as an underclassman. With a passion for politics and social justice, Sophia spent the last year volunteering and working with CT Dems and Fight Back CT!, the 2018 Coordinated Campaign for CT Democrats and Senator Chris Murphy. She hopes to attend a four year college that will further foster her love for politics and will also allow her to use her voice to advocate for others. Of her many accolades, she is a member of the National Honors Society, has been a representative for the Class of 2019, is the recipient of the Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass Book Award, is a phenomenal Pianist, and a versatile athlete who has managed and played on several teams at Windsor Locks High School. Sophia is pictured with Ms. Kallie Sullivan, one of the staff members that nominated her for this recognition. Congratulations Sophia!

Luke has been an active part of his school and local community. From being a highly engaged student, captain of the soccer team, dedicated Class Officer for the Class of 2019 for 2 years, and gives back to his community through service and volunteer hours.
Luke is a model for his peers and works hard to make sure that he is making not only himself prepared for his future, but building up others for theirs. Luke was honored by the Windsor Locks Rotary Club on Thursday, November 1st as the Rotary Club Student of the Month for November. Luke is pictured on the left with Mrs. Barbara Niziolek, the staff member that nominated him for this recognition.
