Week 1: Parents as Teachers: The focus is on describing behaviors and learning that various consequences produces different types of behavior.

Week 2: Effective Praise: Praise is a way to build up a child and let them know what they are doing right.  It helps to have positive experiences when trying to discipline.

Week 3: Preventative Teaching: This is a strategy that is used before a problem occurs or where a problem is likely to occur.  During this session calming down plans are introduced.

Week 4: Corrective teaching: The parent learns how to practice and utilize consequences so as to decrease problematic behavior.

Week 5;Teaching Self-Control:This lesson helps both the parent and child calm down so effective communication can take place as well as appropriate discipline.

Week 6:Putting it all Together: Parents learn how to flow in and out of various strategies learned. They are allowed an opportunity to practice everything they have studied.
