Back by popular demand! South Elementary School will be serving Frozen Fruit Smoothies during lunch on Thursday, April 16, 2015.
Smoothies are made with frozen strawberries, banana, low fat vanilla yogurt and 1% milk, and will be available for $1.25.
Due to todays impending storm, reading night at South Elementary school has been postponed to next Friday, March 27, 2015. A notice will be going home with your students today.
The Smarter Balanced assessments will replace the Connecticut Mastery Tests. SBAC testing will take place at South School March 17th - April 15th. Please click on the below links for more information.

In the event of a delay on Friday morning (1/30/2015) - the field trip to the Trash Museum will still happen. We will leave the school at 10:25 AM and return by 1:00 PM. Chaperones are asked to be at school by 10:15. If there is no delay we will follow the normal departure time of 8:30 am.

ATTENTION 5th Grade Parents and Guardians:
In the event of a school delay tomorrow January 8, 2015, our field trip to the Connecticut Science Center will still take place. We will leave once the students are at school.
The return time will not change.
No After School Activities on Tuesday December 23, 2014.
All after school activities, including Extended Day Program, Choir Club, Homework Club, Board Games,Lego Club & School Spirit are all canceled for Tuesday December 23, 2014.
All activities will resume on Tuesday January 6, 2015.
