5th grade Talent Show Auditions

Tuesday April 4^th & Thursday April 6^th

From 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Sign-up sheets are now up in the music room.

Each act should be 4 minutes or less.

The entire 5^th grade has been invited to experience the Windsor Locks High School Drama team mini-production of The Phantom of the Opera on Wednesday, March 29. We will be walking from South Elementary over to the high school auditorium at 8:30 and returning to South Elementary at approximately 9:45. There is no fee for this event for students. Please contact your child’s teacher with any questions you may have. 

The Square 1 packets are being distributed to students on 3/28/2017.  Orders are due back to school by April 7, 2017. Thank you.

The PTO will be distributing both Gertrude Hawk orders, as well as Otis Spunkmeyer orders March 28, 2017 from 3 p.m.- 6 p.m.

Due to Student Led Conferences, all after school clubs (Extended Day, Novel Writing, Small Crafts, Homework Club & Choir)will be CANCELLED on Tuesday March 28^th  Students will be dismissed at 2:55 pm their normal dismissal procedure.  The Park & Rec after school program will continue as normal.

Students have been working hard taking ownership of their own learning!  They are prepared to tell you about the standards, skills, and strategies they have mastered, what standards they are currently working on, and where they need to go next in their learning.   Student led conferences are an opportunity to put the spotlight on our students and watch them shine!!

The Third and Fourth Grades are celebrating Dr. Seuss day on Thursday, March 2nd! We will be going to the high school for fun Seuss activities. We will be walking there at 8:30 and will be coming back around 10:45. Make sure you wear comfy shoes!

Sale Dates February 1st -13^th

Please put your child/friend’s teacher/room number on the back of the heart so we know where to deliver. Turn the money and candy grams into Ms. Foy (office mailbox or science lab) 50 cents each.

 South Elementary School PTO  Winter Dance!! February 10, 2017 6:00 PM -  8:00 PM

Come dance the evening away with our DJ! Snacks will be provided. Parents are welcome to stay with their students, however we will have plenty of chaperones.

Each student will receive one raffle ticket to use towards classroom prepared theme baskets! Additional tickets may be purchased. Please make sure to fill out the RSVP form.
