Requirements for Class

• Three-ring binder with a Math section containing two subdivisions (Notes and Homework).

• Homework Agenda (supplied by school) should be in your binder.

• 2 pens, 2 pencils, and paper should be in your binder.  We do not give out supplies.

• Scientific calculator is strongly recommended (Model TI-30X IIS by Texas Instruments).  This can usually be purchased for under $16.00.

Homework

• Homework will be given every night.  Daily practice is a very important part of math class.  An average of 20 minutes will be given each night.

• Your assignments will be posted daily on the homework board.  You are expected to write your assignments in your agenda prior to the beginning of class and complete all assignments as neatly as possible.  No credit will be given for work done in pen! All work is to be done in pencil unless instructed otherwise.
• Homework is also listed on Mr. Howe’s website. 
• Homework is due at the beginning of class.  Locker passes will not be issued.  Late homework will not be accepted!
• If you are absent, you are responsible for any work missed.  If you are out for several days due to illness or personal family circumstance, see me on the day you return to school.  We will expect your missing assignments to be completed within a reasonable time period.

Assessments

• If you are absent on the day of an assessment, you are expected to take it the day you return to school.  If you are out for several days due to illness or personal family circumstance, we can work out your retake date.

Extra Help

• I am available after school on Tuesdays for extra help.  Please let me know in advance as to when you are planning to stay.
