Works Cited Format
(formally known as Bibliography)
A Works Cited list is a document that cites information used in a paper; a bibliography is a document that lists all references found, not necessarily quoted or used in the written work.

General Information need for - Citations

• Author (if there is one)
• Title (in italics )
- and "Title of article" with an encyclopedia or magazine (in quotes)
• Place of publication (city)
• Publisher
• Copyright/ publication date
• Page number (for magazines only)
• Web address for Internet source is optional

Citation forms for types of resources (MLA)

Book Citation
• Author last name, First name.Title of Book. Place of publication: Publisher, year published.Print.

• Example:
Jones, Charlotte Foltz. Accidents May Happen. New York:Delacorte Press, 2012. Print.

Magazine citation
• Author last name, First name. "Title of Magazine Article". Title of Magazine. Date Month Year Published: Pages. Print.

• Example:
Weiss, Pat. "Time Proves Not Reversible At Deepest Level". Science News. 31 October 2016. 276. Print.

Website citation
• Author last name, First (if there is one). "Title of Article". Name of Web Page. Website Publisher, Date Month Year Published.Web. Date Month Year accessed. (URL optional)
