Parents of students Grades 9-11:
Tuesday, Oct. 6th in Advisory period, all students in grades 9-11 received review information for the newly designed PSATs that will be taken school wide on Wednesday, Oct. 14th from 7:30-11:10am.
Students in Grades 10 and 11 received a guide book and a practice test. Students in Grade 9 received important information in a packet that explains the different sections of the test to which they will be exposed.
The PSAT for Grade 9 establishes a baseline measurement of college and career readiness as students enter high school. It helps students and educators determine what students need to work on most.
The PSAT for Grades 10 and 11 is highly relevant to your future success because it focuses on the skills and knowledge at the heart of education. It will measure:
- What you learned in high school
- What you need to succeed in college
Please make sure that students come to school on Wednesday, October 14th, well rested, having had a good breakfast with protein for brain power, two #2 pencils, and a calculator. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Deborrah Ramirez, Director of School Counseling at 860-292-5725
