There seems to be a link between sleeping and emotional regulation.
1)     Sleepiness causes students to have a hard time getting up and staying awake in school.
2)       Tiredness creates a change in motivation especially in achieving long term goals.
3)       Sleep loss can have a negative impact on the control of mood and behavior. There is a low tolerance for frustration for learning and for others. Students may not be able to be successful with these moods and behaviors.
4)       These negative  behaviors up the stressors and hence the student may continue to have difficulty falling asleep.
