During iBlock students have an opportunity to work in a strategy group to refine their skills. They might learn new strategies, or practice strategies they've learned but need more practice working on. Many small groups are formed focusing on very specific standards.
Students are encouraged to self select what they want to work on. Teachers may need to help them decide based on strengths and area of need. Students make a short term goal to work on, and practice in a variety of ways. They can use apps on the iPads, teacher or student made games. They can grow their writing by revise or edit their work. They can research a question in science or social studies.
Students can work in small groups or individually based on their need. Games are often used as a way to reinforce skills taught.
