Erin Christianson and Shannon Deshaies were selected to represent WLHS at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) retreat on June 2, 2018. The students were nominated by the counseling staff and asked to attend a seminar at Springfield College. The students were part of a diverse group of speakers, leadership activities, and discussed the ethical and social issues of today. The intention of RYLA is to have their participants/students return to their respective schools and communities with motivation to take on additional leadership roles and to find additional ways to serve.
This morning, Shannon and Erin received awards for their participation at the RYLA retreat this past June. The girls are pictured with our Rotary liaison Marcia Petrillo.
