Welcome to NSS Connections!
NSS Connections at North Street School provides services to families with children Birth to Kindergarten. In addition to our PreK program, we offer a Parents as Teachers program (see our main page for more information), information on outside support services, and our Birth to 4 Birthday Book Club. Our goal is to make sure that all of the children in town, who eventually will become North Street Stars, are provided any and all opportunities available for a healthy start to their educational experiences.
Pre K at North Street School:
We are very proud that our PreK has been nationally accredited by NAEYC. Please click here for more information on this organization.
We offer a preschool experience for three and four year olds.
For the three year old class, children must turn three before Sept 1st.
For the four year old class, children must turn four before Dec. 31st.
There are morning and afternoon sessions, both running 5 days/week
AM: 8:30 to 11:00
PM: 12:15 to 2:45
Some of our classes are Reverse Mainstream classrooms. In these rooms we provide services to children with and without special needs. General education students are role models in these rooms. If you feel that your child would be a strong role model, please let us know.
NSS School Readiness Program
North Street School has been awarded funds to expand its PreK program to offer a quality preschool experience to an additional 48 students with a School Readiness Grant from the State Department of Education. Our School Readiness council oversees this program and its funding. Below is additional information.

Parent and Family Resources
North Street School is fortunate to have both a full time school social worker (Monica Connors mconnors@wlps.org or 860-292-4760) as well as full time school psychologist , Carrie Kiesel ckiesel@wlps.org or 860-292-4791). Both are available to students and families, for providing services as well as referrals. There are times when families request referrals for outside services.
