Welcome to Windsor Locks Public Schools Health Services
Your Child’s Health is Our Priority
Windsor Locks Public Schools Health Services is committed to the health and well-being of all our students. Our experienced registered nurses provide essential school health services, ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment for all of our students.
Our nurses are available daily to care for students who become ill or injured during the school day. They also oversee the State of Connecticut-mandated screening and immunization compliance and document your child's mandated physical examinations. For students with specific health needs, our nurses work closely with parents, physicians, and other school staff to develop and implement personalized health plans.
To ensure the safe and effective administration of medications, all medications must be administered by a school nurse during school hours. Only FDA-approved medications are permitted, and state law requires a medication authorization form signed by the child’s physician and parent/guardian.
We encourage parents to inform their child’s school nurse of medical conditions, allergies, or recent health changes. By working together, we can provide the best possible care for our students and promote a healthy and supportive learning environment.
Sincerely,
Nicole Saavedra
